What this tool does
This page uses the shared GentleTools Workout Planner and exercise library. Gym-focused shortcuts can select a free-weights setup or a broader gym setup only when you click them; you can then adjust every item manually. The planner builds a 2–6 day structure and applies the same GREEN / YELLOW / RED safety gate before exercise selection.
How to use it
- Choose your goal, experience level, weekly training days and session duration.
- Select the equipment your gym actually has, or use a gym shortcut and then remove anything that is not reliably available.
- Complete the safety check before generating a plan.
- Optionally exclude movement patterns you personally want to avoid or have specifically been told to avoid.
- Review the generated week, then save locally, print to PDF, or export HTML.
Important limitations
This is general training guidance rather than diagnosis, rehabilitation or medical clearance. Equipment availability is never assumed by default, and the generator does not infer injury-specific exercise safety.
Frequently asked questions
Does the generator assume my gym has every machine?
No. Nothing is selected by default. You can choose equipment manually or click a preset and edit it before generating.
Can I make a free-weights-only gym plan?
Yes. Use the Free weights setup shortcut or select dumbbells, bench, barbell, rack and pull-up bar manually if those match your gym.
Why does the generator sometimes refuse a high-frequency split?
It refuses to produce a misleadingly incomplete split when the available exercise pool cannot cover enough movement patterns for the schedule you selected.
Is the result AI-generated?
No. The free generator is rules-based and deterministic so its logic can be tested before any future adaptive AI coaching layer.
