PetNest V1 costs $4.45. It is the simpler health, medication, veterinary and cost record.
PetNest 2.0 costs $7.45. It keeps the V1-style record and adds an everyday Daily Care layer for feeding, activity, grooming, routines and caregiver handoff.

Choose V1 when the long-term record is the real problem
V1 is the better-value choice when you mainly need to answer questions such as: when was a medication entry recorded, what vaccine-reference date did I save, what did the pet weigh, when was the vet visit, what did it cost, and where is the related document?
That is already a substantial connected record. Adding more daily fields would not automatically make it more useful if nobody in the household needs to log everyday care.

Choose 2.0 when the handoff changes every day
PetNest 2.0 is designed for households where today’s care matters alongside the long-term record. The Daily Care timeline can record feeding, walks or activity, grooming, routines and factual notes for the selected pet. Saved routine references can be marked as completed, and the recent record can be turned into a caregiver handoff.
The extra layer is useful when a sitter, partner or family member regularly needs to understand what already happened today without reconstructing it from messages.
Try the free Pet Daily Care Log first. If that one-table workflow is enough, there is no reason to buy the larger app. If you want it connected to multiple pets, medications, vaccines, vet records, costs and documents, PetNest 2.0 is the fuller version.
Are V1 and 2.0 the same purchase?
No. They are separate products with separate prices and buyer access. Buying V1 does not automatically unlock 2.0, and buying 2.0 is not presented as a subscription upgrade.
The editions also use separate browser storage so opening V1 does not overwrite PetNest 2.0 Daily Care records.
Can existing V1 records move to 2.0?
The intended migration path is an exported JSON backup from V1 followed by restore in 2.0. After importing, verify the records in the new copy before relying on it and keep the original backup independently.
Which edition should I buy?
Choose PetNest V1 for $4.45 when you want the lower-cost connected pet health and cost record.
Choose PetNest 2.0 for $7.45 when everyday care, recurring routines and caregiver handoff are part of the record you actually need to maintain.
Both editions are recordkeeping tools. They do not diagnose illness, determine medication doses or vaccine requirements, decide feeding or exercise needs, or replace veterinary instructions.
