What belongs in a septic property record?
At minimum: the last pumping date, tank size, inspection findings, repairs, permit or as-built references, and any recurring drainfield symptoms such as wet spots, odor, slow drains or alarms. The value is not the number of entries; it is being able to show what happened, when, and what was done about it.
A good record becomes especially useful before a property sale, when comparing contractor advice, or when a symptom returns years after an earlier repair.
Use the reminder as a planning signal, not a diagnosis
Household size, water use, tank size, garbage disposal use, system design and local rules all affect pumping frequency. This planner intentionally lets you choose the interval rather than pretending one universal number fits every property.
